hows crossfire on GA-965P-DS3P mobo ?

Ive been considering adding another 4850 graphics card to my DS3P for crossfire but just read in another thread that having a secondary pcie slot only running at x4 will cripple the extra cards performance


is this true on the GA-965P-DS3P ? how does it handle crossfire ?

Yep, no point at all. The 4x slot will cripple the performance of the second card and mean you'll have a £100 space heater in your case doing nothing.
