That slot is M keyed, which supports also SATA.

M.2 is such marketroid devised screw up that you can't tell from slot itself what devices it accepts.

and mobo specs are sure nicely arbitrary about what that slot supports...

But guess it supports at least NVMe when that other configuration has such.

Anyway there aren't significant real word average home usage differencese between SATA and NVMe SSDs:

So any super expensive per GB NVMe is waste of money and you can just take bang per buck model.
