HP Carepack Registration Question

Hey people,

Just a query regarding registration of e-carepacks..when it says date of purchase what do you normally put?

Should it be the date of purchase when we the support company purchases the goods i.e. server

or is it when it is purchased by the customer from us and installed?

I have alway done it as the date purchased from our supplier

Official word from an HP carepack sales specialist who works for HP (not me, someone I know)
"Date of purchase is when the end user purchased it from the channel (reseller etc), as we need to track warranty start date from purchase date and provide 90 days grace period for Care pack start date to allow for warehousing etc."

I usually put in the date the pc arrives, I'm not using a support pack for a product I dont have.
