Is PlexConnect for apple tv?

I use android and everything works. I know this is no help to you.

Yeah trying to connect my Apple TV. I'm getting tired of re-encoding media just to get it working on my bedroom apple TV

If I can't find a solution no big deal. I may just sell my apple tv and get some other box that supports plex...or just a new Smart TV for the bedroom.

Question please ...is it best to run Xpenology from a USB stick.? Or could I install it on a small SSD.?

The USB stick has to stay in. Also the N54L has to boot from the USB stick.
The way synology works is that it writes the OS to all the HDs installed.

gnoBoot is the best. And all the mobile synology apps work with it.

Not on this list, so I have requested an addition to the next version. Cant find any linux drivers though for it, which is odd

edit: Came home today to a failing WD Red, or at least according to synology

Can you use the 'Quick Connect ID' feature with Xpenology please?

Synology know it's not a real one and cut you off. I use No-Ip which is great and free.

Yes.

You can setup the DDNS in synology but use No-IP from the pull down menu.

Nothing as yet from gnoBoot I did try nanoboot but tings didn't go well, so I'm back on gnoBoot.

You could try turning "check for updates off" or setting the sleep time 20mins then restart and set it back to 10mins.

And don't for get to change the "ADMIN" log on to something else.

What version are you trying to install\installed? gnoBoot or nanoboot?

A run down of the problems you have would be good i.e. 1= 2=

Does anyone know of a small and CHEAP VGA lcd? I've been installing blind so far but I want to test Nanoboot. So I need one.

I have no monitor now. I use my TV for everything but it hasn't got a VGA input. Going to look on the rain forest now.

How about picking up a vga to hdmi converter about £5.

Or sticking in a video card (sapphire 5450) for about £20.

As for the lead I would still need a converter. The graphics card is a good idea though thks

Hi Deuse,
I currently have a DS211j and am thinking of moving to the N54L. My main gripe with the DS211j is the general sluggishness of the DSM GUI and slow verifying/repairing of RARs.

Would you mind maybe clarifying just how much faster the N54L is over the DS211j.

Way faster. File transfers are faster about 90MB both ways. Streaming to my android devices with no problems.

I think you can find a DS211j vs N54L to help you.

Would adding a graphics card also help with transcoding?

To what? It's on my network and all my 1080p films play ok(no stutter) on my TV and mobile devices.
Try it first and if all ok you've saved money
