Picked one of these up very cheap (£27.00) yesterday from a well known supermarket, my current Epson R220 is starting to show it's age (or usage), and wanted a cheap replacement. I will return it if it's rubbish, grabbed it as it was the last one in store. Looks like ink is expensive, at least compared to the cheapo ones my Epson takes. Anyone got one of these and what do you think of it?

Any alternatives would be welcome, max price £80.00-ish - cheers!

Yes it's cheap but did you check the price of the ink cartridge's? I'm using Canon pixma ip 4300 after my Epson went, sorry to say they don't make them now a cracking printer using compatable's for over a year £19 full set no prob's, but you can buy the Canon pixma ip4600 for the same price £70 if you shop round+ compatable's £20 full set, as l say highly recommend a canon. :)

i picked up one for 30 quid, and its a good printer, but the prices of printer cartiages are extortionate.

The guy in the shop where i was looking for printer cartiages said i should have got a Kodak (can't remember the model), as the cartiages for black and white together are only about 15 quid :O
