because I spotted very early on the stock was not moving down, so I just wanted conformation the order had gone through...

Sure she could have flagged me up and said you are not a buisness, but they were getting hit with 100's or orders so I figured they would be looking at everyone anyway if they were going to cancel
 
Missed out on PC World as wasn't about, however I am a business owner so can set up accounts with any that you do need to be a business for.

If a similar situation happens again then I'd be happy to order as many as I can for the OcUK massive. As I've already got one then I'm not looking at this thread constantly so somebody may just want to drop me an email via Trust with any heads up.

Yeah. He might have been sacked for dropping peoples Babs orders to 1 just so I could buy loads :D
 
I rang and they said that my order was confirmed, however they are out of stock and I should receive my order in ~2 weeks, when they are expecting more stock.
 
No TouchPad for me, salt rubbed in the wound by Argos who sent me a text message at 8am on Sunday to tell me my local store still had no stock of TouchPads and that I should check elsewhere. Awesome.
 
Hmmm just spoken to my PC world business rep who says that all orders this morning from none business accounts ie newly opened will be cancelled.

They accepted several hundred orders more than they had in stock but their actual stock was only physically allocated to people who had existing business accounts on a first come first served basis.

I wish I hadn;t gone and made a coffee when this popped up as I could have ordered you guys as many as you wanted on our account :(

He did confirm that all is stock is now gone and they received viable orders for all of them.

He said its been quite a laugh looking at personal customers and the order numbers they gave with their order.

Im assuming the ones that get cancelled will go to the other outstanding business orders?

Is it still possible to put in an order with them despite this over the phone?

Just a thought, but thanks for thinking of us poor souls anyway :). I guess stock is randomly going to come up and we are all going to have to be very lucky to pick one up

Next time somebody spots stock at a business site eg BT business, PCWB, Equanet etc, can somebody please send me an email and I will gladly order 20 for you guys.

Oh and do that before you put it up on this forum and HDUK and the site goes into meltdown ;)

Only one of my orders has gone through from the look of it.

It states

the other states

Order Number
700XXXXX / Unavailable

So looks like the 16gb is going through and the 32 is not.

Purposely went for the 16 first as i suspected most would go for the 32gb's first leaving me more of a chance with the 16gb....
 
PCWB just phoned to confirm Business Address, touchpad on the way. :o

She says will not ship to home address or order will be cancelled.
