Yeah I've heard a lot about these bank charges that have been going around and assumed it was becuase people were actually doing something like going overdrawn to warrant them being charged.

However I was charged some £11 and it said "NOTIFIED FEES/CHG" as the payee...

I've googled this and came up with some HUGE thread on a forum which didn't tell me anything other than it's happening to others, and that you have to claim it back which is a long and awful process.

1) Has this happened to anyone else on here?

2) Why on earth are they charging me for seemingly NOTHING

3) How do they justify it?

4) Anyone have anything to say on this?

Thanks for reading...

HSBC did complain and about how their profits came from overseas and that they wanted to charge UK customers for having an account with them.

£12/year. The fact you have to go through a long process is showing HSBC hope you give up.

Can I just say LOL @ YOU to people who think £12 is nothing because it is £1 a month or 25p a week. Multiply that £12 by 50 million people, then HSBC laugh at you as well as make money from your money they charge you for it!

Go through the process and get your money back.

Thanks for the reply, ok do you how I go about getting this £11 back? Is that the once and only time they will charge me do you know? also weird that it was £11 and not the £12 like you said.

Thank you mate.
