Oem HT Leads , brand new

Day 1

Had some really bad weather here yesterday a lot of rain, flooding and the odd rumble of thunder ended up having the car running pretty awful , the engine bay was soaked. Today i had some new plugs to put in , dried what little water was left and started her up , she fired up fine.

Took a drive down the road and it was fine until i hit 0.5bar of boost , got a lot of missfire and hesitation so i drove normaly to let it get much warmer and dry off even more. Tried 0.5 and again it was awful , i went inside to the shops came out and tried again but very slowly this time and still the same problem.

Went i got home , checked the engine bay and found 2 ht leads slighly pushed up and one pushed up so far that im supprised it was making any connection at all. I saw one of the top of the tips of the spark plug was slighty burnt white and the inside of the lead ( rubber ) was white.

Day 2

Ok this is seriously *bleep* me off now , i went out boosted it was fine boosted again it was missfiring came back home. Found number 1 was slightly out , number 2 was pushed right out and 3 was slightly out 4 was perfectly fine.

Ever since the bloody weather decided to get the car soaked through and i broke that one lead without any force. I can't keep my new leads secured in the spark plug hole. They are no different than the toyota ones

I have checked the ht lead holes and pushed a very tiny screwdriver through the hole , top of the ht lead connections. I have pushed them down on top of the spark plugs till they make the click sound.

Any ideas?

Well i can't get a refund on these oem leads because i used em , ffs... But im going to return them and get another batch sent to me. This is the second batch now thats had problems in one way or another.

I tried lead 4 on the other plugs and it held them fine but the other leads wont hold the plug properly and dont make a good seal. Even when pushed down with force.

So im going to say Avoid camskill ( blueprint ) leads for the time being.

The holes are fine , the plugs are torqued correcly. Lead 4 holds the other plugs and seals correctly but the other leads dont. Ngk cold grade spark plugs.
