Hi,
Can anyone answer me this:
I've just rooted my phone using unrevoked, still using the stock unrooted ROM for the moment though.
I've been trying to work out what the relationship is between ROM and radio version compatibilities.

Am I correct in thinking that I can use the update.zip for the latest radio on my current phone and everything will continue working correctly, and allow me to faff with ROMs without having to worry about radio versions? And continue with my current ROM if needs be?
Or is there more too it than that?

Also, my phone is an orange one, using a debranded ROM, and has been unlocked....if any of that makes a difference. Lol.

Thanks in advance all.:-)

Yep, just shove the latest Radio ROM on your phone and you'll still be able to use the stock HTC Sense ROM. So long as you use the "recommended" Radio ROM for DeFroST or Cyanogen or similar you shouldn't have any problems with running cooked ROMs in the future.

Have you created a GoldCard?

I made a goldcard pre-rooting yes. I thought i didnt need a goldcard now ive rooted?

According to this i need to hook upto a PC:

to flash a new radio rom...
I thought i just wack it on the sdcard root, boot into recovery then apply it as an update?

I got bored of waiting, so i just did a nandroid backup, then applied the update.zip anyway.
Its just doing now, rebooting a lot! Dunno if Thats good or bad...

Thats all I did, download to root and flash in recovery.
I cant tell if its any better or worse tbh. lol.
Ive tested the things that are meant to break, like GPS & WiFi, and both seem fine....although GPS seems to switch off quicker. lol.
