HTC Explorer - How to turn off charging screen?

Internals, battery life, screen, camera, HD video, speaker quality are all better.

The Sensation isn't bad though, I like it (have one :p). It's one of the better phones around.

They should have the Xperia S in soon, that's a good one to go for.

Or the HTC One X at the start of April.

Or an iPhone 4/4S?

Read about them, reviews are all on GSMArena. You can trust what they say.

I quite liked the Explorer for what it is!

My mum just got one free on a £10 a month contract with Orange, it's very small, light, the screen is decent enough, the rubberised back is a nice touch and the whole thing feels good in the hand, the camera is serviceable, it is being kept up to date Android wise (OTA version from HTC is inline with my SGS2) and (this bit surprised me) it is genuinely not slow in use, the screens relatively low resolution means the 600Mhz CPU genuinely keeps up with the UI, and I'm REALLY fussy when it comes to responsiveness.

Personally don't see the problem with it, it's a well packaged low end Android smartphone?

Key word being low end :p

Well yeah, going from a SGS2 to a HTC Explorer must be a tad painful ;) but the OP said it's a stop-gap while he decides which new high-end device to go for.

Sorry I think I just felt the need to stand up for the plucky little Explorer :p. Having said all this, my mum has an Android device she gets nearly 4 days out of between charges and I have one that I struggle to get a day out of if I actually use it... not that I'm going to swap ;)

The iphone 4 is out of the question I think. It's only a single core and it's expensive on Tmobile but the 4s is also.

HTC sensation is appealing but as said earlier should I just wait?

Cheers

What does that matter? It's still plenty fast enough.

Why are you getting them directly from T-Mobile, you know they are all much cheaper elsewhere, right?

You're really not fussed? There's a pretty huge difference and the HTC is small and horrible to be brutally honest. :p

Up to you though.

I'd take the Explorer over the MC, average small phone >>> cheap big phone. :D

The new S1 Snapdragon is quite a bit faster and uses less power than the old ARM11 found in the MC too (Even at 600 mhz)

The screen makes the Explorer a non-starter as far as I'm concerned.

Still, I wouldn't be caught dead with either of them. :D
