Just got a memo at work saying that the successor to the Qtek 9100 , i forget what vodafone are calling it, I think its the Vodafone something or other, if you do phone up, phone business services and ask for the new pda with 3G which is the new version of the Qtek 9100...

i'll try and find more deets tomorrow..

quite surprised we have it so early... but there you go! Just to let you guys know.

If you have access to cti at work, just click on products>consumer stock reports>hermes stock report and it shows you exactly how much stock of every handset we have plus dates for deliveries and also updated launch dates for new devices.

If there is a new qtek it will be on there.

yeah i didnt check there yet, will tomorrow though,

I read it in last nights Key Comm's...dont know if you guys get that or not.

Apparantly pricing is

£350/£250/£150/Free

:( :( :(

Its called the V1604 on voda and its been out a good week. Its getting ok reports from xda developers webite. But it has a few probelems with the keyboard and screen alignment problems that are affecting a few people.

Im waiting for it too - Tmobile UK have it on their coming soon list and have it valued at £300 - unsure how that relates to new contract/upgrade pricing though...

Checked our stock report in work today and we do currently have it in stock and available. It's under the qtek section named v1605

£150 on the most popular tariffs  - need to spend £40 a month before its reasonable...

Gonna keep nagging Tmobile - spoke to them today and they are still quoting 'coming soon' :(...

I just called T-Mobile. Spoke to Martin in Websales. He stated that a lot of people have been asking about this, and the purchasing department have confirmed the 16th August.

The Websales always seem to be more on the ball. The guy stated that the information regarding the Vario II was quite recent.

God I hate that keyboard but its either £7.50 onto any tariff for unlimited web useage or £1 per MB (or £8 onto the £45 Panther tariff) with Orange.

Oh dear, not feeling the love for that keyboard/colour scheme  Where'd you get that pic from, not finding it on the website yet?

I have to admit I prefer it to Oranges colour scheme - seem they just got bored...

With the keyboard closed its fine, Ill just have to find something to hide as much of that claret when its open (big hands :p)

Should be with me very very soon!!!

Nope.

Orange are introducing a £8 unlimited data rate but thats only on Panther contracts, and those start at £45.

T-Mobile is by far the better option with the Vario II. There you can have unlimited data at a charge of £7.50 added onto any contract.

They also do WnW Pro for ppl who want to use it regular with a laptop and the like (i.e. streaming media) - only £10 a month...
