HTC Tattoo ( Android ) text messages to SD card

My missus has just had a new HTC Tattoo

she is rubbish with phones and I am only marginally better

with only a few text messages it says "sim card full"

how do we set it to use theSD card for messages ?

Is she using the default sms program?

I just checked on my Magic and when I used the supplied sms prog it seemed to have stored the text's on the sim card. I now use Handcent SMS, excellent sms client, and it doesn't seem to use the sim.

I assume so, we haven't changed anything
