Just got one of these on orange, have to say after my spv600 its a great improvment and would reccomend it to anyone as long as your hand aint huge.

Anyways a couple of things, can anyone suggest software for hill walking etc to connect into my external GPS? want to use it round the Lakes etc...

also the G sign appears alots on my HTC and that means it connected online?

but it never goes off? ive been connected for 24hrs before now and aint sure if its out to do with active sync not disconnecting from my exchange server...?

Google Maps?

G = GPRS; Large G just shows connection quality, small G with arrows shows active connection

So the question is then, why is there an active connection all the time? ive reset it and checked all the active sync settings?

Unsure, mine does the same, but I suspect it when its checking what cell its in and such. No doubt normal phones do the same but dont have the ability to advise you when they have an active connection...
