Well, as always I'm cramming in last minute revision! The subject is huge, I didnt really count for that when It came to revision. Any of you lot done any sort of human anatomy related subjects? Got any revision tips?

2pm it starts, so I've got all morning to revise, plus this evening.

I'm doing past questions right now but I cant help but feel that because these are past questions, they wont appear this year. :(

For us, the questions on our past papers usually just pop up with different numbers involved thankfully :p

Maybe have a brief readover and try and cover what you think is most likely to come up? Or try and go over your weaker points?

I'm just like you when it comes to revision bud!! i have a 2pm Petroleum geology exam tomorrow and am revising now and 2moro morning....

I just remember stuff pretty well so weeks of studying is really not my thing...

good luck to ya!

See, this is the thing right, it appears to me that you're posting on an internet based forum. Thus, doing no revision at that present time, thus wasting time.

However, this time last year I was rather engrossed in WoW and only did minimal revision (as always…) and I passed everything except one of these make believe subjects, Citizenship. :)

Never done your course but I often do last minute revision. if its a very large subject area you need to cover then 12 odd hours aint much. 2-3 days would be a different story though.

Have a break every 45 mins, coffee, energy drinks, etc. Dont eat heavy or it will slow you down, just have small snacks.

Get some sleep, even if it's only 2 hrs the last thing you want is to fall asleep during the exam.

Go through your notes 90 mins before the exam.

learn all about your muscles, bones, joints, fluids, CNS, brain areas, veins, ateries, major internals. those are basic tbh, you should know all that already!

Yeah, I did biology at A level and it covered most things. This degree stuff is a bit more indepth though.

To be honest, this is my first year at uni, and to pass this year I need 40%. Even if I got 99% or 40% it wouldnt make a difference to my end grade. My 2nd year and 3rd year determine if I come out with a 2.1 or a 1st etc...

I'll just do what a few of you said above, good nights sleep, energy drinks, snacks, write down a load of notes, hour or two before I go to my exam read the notes.

SHOULD be ok.. should....

Yeah, its a module in my FCSS (Forensic and Crime Scene Science) Degree.

The book I've got to revise from is 1,200 pages of A4. Cost me £48.99

read the contents page(s) and the index, the rest is just meat around the bones ;]

taking the above advice is not recommended as a means to revise!!

for my A+P module I bought tortora and grabowski's 'principles of anatomy and physiology' - a huge beast of a book, i realise now i should have gone for 'anatomy and physiology for dummies' :) i might still invest if i can find a copy...

good luck
i passed my first year module first time (not the same degree mind you)
and i don't think i went to more than a 1/4 of the lectures

Skim read everything and then focus on what you think are the most important things.

Don't stay up all night and morning revising. You'll be wrecked during the exam, and even if you had crammed the knowledge in, you'll be too tired to think properly.

Study until a reasonable hour, get a full nights sleep, and then study until the exam.

OP - i'm doing an exam on a module very similar to this (by name, but probably content is the same) and i found the best way to revise, by far, is to do the past papers and anything you don't fully understand just get on wikipedia and learn it. Its helped me so much that if wikipedia suddenly started charging for its services, i'd be the first on paying for them!
