Hungarian Grand Prix 2010, Hungaroring Circuit - Race 12/19

How can Ferrari keep getting things so wrong - that photo isn't on purpose but it looks so "Us" - "You"

Hoping for more Ferrari controversy so they can wheel out that head of communications guy they've been using the last few races - he's great and fails all at once.

Complete sense of humour failure, complete inability to handle any question that comes from Eddie Jordan and looks the most uncomfortable person in the F1 spotlight.

I think some sort of petition/fund raiser to get Chandhock on the bbc commentary team is essesntial! (Well if his drive is up, I agree with el dazza that he deserves the drive over Senna but having the Senna name brings in money, despite just not being ready for F1 yet...)

I disagree. I think that Senna has been the faster of the two, especially in qualifying. In the race it has been harder to tell as reliability has been extremely poor.

Chandhok is a great guy though, and I'd selfishly like him to be a part of the permanent commentary team.

It's not like he got there on merit alone either, as I'm pretty sure he brought a fair chunk of Indian money with him to the team. So he's not really any different from Senna or Yamamoto in that regard, although he certainly deserves the seat ahead of Yamamoto on ability.

Correct me if I'm off the mark here but the McClarens have had real problems with the bumpier track surfaces all year. Didn't Jenson complain badly about it at Silverstone? I guess it's one of those characteristics of car that only becomes apparent when all the components are combined.

Not going to be a good weekend for Mclaren! Though i hate Alonso or Massa get ahead of RedBull so they don't take away many points from the Mclaren team :P

Mclaren make the felxi wing too! tiz the only way

I guess we have to keep our fingers crossed for more Alonso mistakes and more mechanical failures for Red Bull, because it doesn't look good on raw pace!

So many McLaren fans, but so few Ferrari fans...where are the Ferrari supporters?

Sod them what happened to all the Brawn now Mercedes Supporters. There is barely a Mercedes sig on the forum ;)

People couldn't dry hump Ross Brawn hard enough last year, where have all his cheerleaders gone :D

All the brawn fans, decided to support other teams, when ross brawn sold out. Not to mention that many of us were fans because 'brawn gp' was a true underdog story, mercedes arent. Not to mention the whole german/british thing... that chaffs too..

Not to mention, I can't stand the schumessiah, so another reason to not support mercedes..

Personally, I will stick with mclaren, and the all british driver lineup, even if hammy is a bit of a numpty

Hey, this is the first time in a very long time where we can truly say that we have a British driver able to take on pretty much anybody in F1.

The last time we had a "matador" was probably Mansell, 18 years ago - D.Hill was good, but lets face it, MSc would beat him every time, in equal machinery.

This is why I like Hamilton so much - he can take on anything that any other country has to offer - be it Spain, Germany, Brazil - he has the ability to beat them all, in equal machinery.

Just wanted to say thanks to acidhell2 for his opening post, every race I'm left wondering when practice 3 will be on, then I remember he will have posted that info for us.

Thanks acidhell!

The size of the new rear cooling opening on the McLaren is startling compared to Germany.

At this point of the season with RBR and Ferrari having the questionably legal but quite clever flexible front wings, I don't see McLaren ever gaining the upper hand in terms of downforce - certainly they will continue to work on optomising the blown diffuser and implementing a flexible front wing, but this wouldn't leapfrog them over their rivals.

I'm secretly hoping they've recognised this some time ago and at least looked into the feasability and possible benefit of implementing KERS this season. Go more aggressive on the higher top speeds and greater power which would massively benefit at Spa, Monza,Suzuka and Abu Dhabi.

Of course, such action would have had to be started quite some time ago, so is probably unlikely, especially as McLaren have been putting the interest of FOTA above their own personal interests recently.

Still, the thoughts of the high downforce RBR and Ferrari's against the lower downforce but higher top speed McLarens would be interesting.

And those that have followed Jenson :)

I have just watched a Martin Whitmarsh interview on the BBC he said that the front wing end plates have to be 85mm off the ground.

Now looking at two of the Darren Heath images, the RBR front wing appears to be closer than that distance.
