Hurricane Florence

Does anyone know of any more cams covering the storm? Anything covering the beaches / shorelines? Only thing I know of is the one already posted earlier.

How does anyone read the YT comments on that Frying Pan Tower video, it is the same as twitch, what is the point in typing no can read anything?! There must be a better way surely lol

Cat 2 storm pah, nothing major just some high winds and white trash caravans to worry about.

While I do tend to raise an eyebrow at how much people freak about about these hitting America, I've been over here for Dujuan and Soulik (cat 4) add well as Nepartak and Meranti (cat 5), amongst many others, and neither caused as many deaths or general destruction as Morakot, which was only a cat 1.

Equally, a tropical storm which popped up a few weeks back dropped a foot of rain each day for 3 days in some places near me, but barely even registered as a weather event to report on.

I do get why English language media is going to be more focused on stuff in the U.S., and am grateful that Mangkhut had moved ever further south since the initial projections - though obviously best wishes to those in the Philippines. Just to say that the speed at which a storm is moving can be the cause of a lot of the destruction, which is why I get people still concerned about Florence, however much it's downgraded in terms of actual wind intensity.

anyone see the one in the Philippines right now, all this talk about florence and mangkhut is even stronger cat 5:eek:

I think you are right, other than the waves better bigger, I haven't seen anything to suggest it could fall or become damaged.

they are bang on low tide atm so migth be worth checking back in 5-6 hours, they dont appear to get large tides there though, theres only 3.5ft difference
