Hygiene

I wash my hands every time I use a public toilet in a bar/pub, and the the amount of people I see just 'zipping up' and walking back out is frankly disgusting.

However, using too many 'products' is gay territory. Soap, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant. That's all you need on an average day without being borderline fruity.

I don't wash my hands after urinating since my wang is far cleaner than my hands will be at the time, or the door handle of the toilet, or the taps, any money in my pocket etc. It's seen as the right thing to do but there are no hygeine reasons for doing so. Unless you have syphillis lol.

Now people with colds are the problem...pretty much the only problem unless you have a compromised immune system. I would advise being very careful in this case - no absent-minded touching of the mouth, nose or eyes and frequent hand-washing.

I swear 15% of men in my office don't wash their hands after they've used the cubical in the loo's. I work in IT and am always slightly terrified of having to touch their keyboards and mice!!

I wipe my keyboard if I happen to read anything in GD

,

lol :)

Wasing your hands also reduces your chances of spreading infection to others. A large number of illness are spread through the charmingly named "feacal -oral transmission" route. E.g. Hep. A, rotavirus.

yuk!!!

So you end up with urine on things you touch. It does splash you know!

I wash my hands before I got to the toilet and 'touch myself' and after of course, but then I also wee in the shower.

I'm a bit OCD though, I hate other people using my keyboard, mouse, phone and the like.

Wash my hands everytime I go to the toilet, and wash my hands when cooking. All other times it is a shower in the morning & a wash in the evening.

It is very rare for me being off work, was ill at the beginning of the year with sickness, but that was the 1st time in about 3 years & the time before I was off work due to having an operation.

I think my immune system is pretty immense, even if my girlfriend has the flu/cold or people at work the same I never seem to get it. In fact I can't remember the last time I had a cold, and I do think this has something to do with being hygenic, but not taking it to a silly level.

is wee on hands bad? its sterile, your hands are covered with stuff bacteria can eat anyway so worst case you add a little bacteria food to your already food covered hands....

I think that overly clean environments and protection children have now a days is leading to higher numbers of allergies and weaker immune systems.

Yes we should be clean as to not spread infection but we need to keep our systems protecting us by letting them work. Never done me any harm as a kid(or now) playing all day in muddy fields and eating who know what.

Agree with this entirely.

Also 100s of years ago a lot more people died, that today would survive owing to modern medicine.

Being OCD clean is just as dangerous as not cleaning at all.

FWIW, I find people who don't wash their hands after going to the loo absolutely disgusting.

Always clean my hands after being on pubic transport though.
