Hygiene

A tinkle in the shower is indeed one of lifes little joys! And anyway sometimes it can't be helped, you're fine, you get in the shower, all that running water.. suddenly you need to pee! what to do?

Haha - give me some credit, I just was fishing! ;)

After i responded i wondered if you were taking the mickey although you can never tell on this forum :p

If i was feeling normal i'd have probably reponsded jokingly but having too little sleep and working too much has taken its toll on me :(

I wash my ass as well. You'd be surprised what toilet roll can miss on your backside.

That won't really help that much. The faecal transfer zone extends from your midriff (around where your belly button is) right down to just above your knees.

This whole area will have various levels of faecal bacteria. This is the reason you should wash your hands after having a wee as the old man lives at almost ground zero in this zone.

With regards to normal washing then soap and hot water will do. No need for fancy stuff and no need to get all OCD about it. A little bacteria is good for you - you just need to avoid the real bad stuff.

Is it just me who doesn't understand those new dettol soap dispensers where you don't touch the "unhygienic" pump on the soap?

Isn't the whole point that you may well touch the pump, but by doing so you release soap, with which you wash your hands, hence wash away the germs?

The only reason touching the pump would be unhygienic is surely if you WEREN'T going to wash your hands?

I do wash my hands quite a few times during the day, as I'm a teacher and I don't like my hands feeling grubby. We as teachers do tend to get a lot of colds and sniffles, and things like stomach bugs spread like wild fire, so I like to make sure I keep my hands clean as it's one way I can try stop myself getting every ailment the little creatures bring in with them.

I spend 90% of the day with my hands filthy due to my job.
I wash my hands BEFORE I go to the loo as my **** is cleaner than my hands.
and the fact I don't fancy a getting carcinogenic substance on the most sensitive bit of skin I own....
As a kid living on a farm in amongst cow **** and hay bales pretty much every day, I've grown up with very few issues with health. (have plenty of other issues though :D)

Kids today are full of hay fever, asthma, eczema and such like. I fully believe this is down to the over cleanliness of their up bringing.

Oh and yes I pee in the shower too :D

we are blokes, we don't need to wash our hands after peeing. just clean your nob in the morning and your good to go all day.
