I am buying a Corsa

Before I bought my first car I had the chance to drive most small cars (with a 3k budget), wasn't particularly fond of any of them so I went up a size to the Focus/Astra, drove both and settled on a tdci Focus. The handling is sublime compared to the rest and that matches up to the general opinion that it is an excellent 'driver's car' and the engine also performs very well for what it is.

Ended up with a Ghia spec with most of the gizmos minus cruise control and a sunroof for £2500. 102k miles mind, but I have a mechanic on tap in the form of a brother :p, but he was very confident in it.

I also drove the petrol 1.8 version but I looked up the mpg figures and they were dire so I decided to lump the extra for a diesel and as an added bonus it'll probably stay in the family when I come to sell it for uni.
