I don,t know what motherboard to buy

Hi,

I recently blew up my motherboard, it was a GigabyteGA-7VAXP socket A but it served its purpose for 6 yrs, but now i have to upgrade. Can someone recommend me a decent motherboard AMD or Intel, I will like it to have 2 Lan connections and as much pci slots as possible.
