Smokers only stink if they don't keep themselves clean. Plenty of people I know who smoke and you can tell who is more hygienic from the fact you can smell smoke on some and not on others.

That's total rubbish, personal hygiene has nothing to do with it.
The strong smell of smoke sticks to clothes, a person who spends the day smoking will stink of smoke at the end of the day no question about it.

hell I only have to go in a place with people smoking and I can smell smoke on my clothes and hair and have to get a shower an changed.

Smoking is not cool at all, it's not cool watching someone die of Lung cancer its a really slow painful death.

Actually I believe smoking gave me a clear mental edge at doing school work when i started at age 11.

Nothing beats that first cigarette in the morning when you're walking down to the bus stop, get's your brain in gear for some school learning.

Apparently not as the quality of your posts indicates that you have some form of brain damage.

Joking aside (or am I?) the reason why the first cigarette in the morning get's your brain in gear is because your body can't function properly without it because you're addicted. It's hilarious how people don't seem to get this. The people who are addicted if you ask them why do they like smoking they'll say because it calms them down or they need it for the day. Smoking doesn't give you these effects, it relieves your craving. Making you think it's calming you down, but the smoking is what causes you to be agitated in the first place. People who are addicted don't seem to realise this (my brother is a great example).

There is no logical reason to start smoking apart from thinking you're looking cool.

i have been free of the cancer stick for about 9 months now. however i still have mild cravings every now and again, it doesn't take much will power to overcome however the thought still passes.

Criticize away it holds very little value anyway, but it would help if you read my original comment a little better as I wasn't knocking all smokers! I know some genuinely decent people that smoke that I hope Will give up before its to late.

I have seen a beautiful 40 year old woman, and I mean legendary Milf material waste away with throat cancer while her son and daughter watched. She never stopped smoking until the day she died. It was more important to her than her family. They 'understood', 'accepted' and 'helped' her into an early grave.
