I wonder if people who say this would pass the test nowadays.Vertigo1 said:You'd fail a test if you parked like that (or at least you would have when I took mine - these days you have to run someone over to fail).

Over a foot away from the kerb? Definitely would have been a fail 20 years ago. Despite there being more to do on modern tests, they're far less stringent.calnen said:Theres no way thats a fail on your test.
We had a long discussion on this a while ago during which someone said they got two minors for hesitation and not using their mirrors enough. I failed my first test for these exact two things and nothing else. The modern test is thus demonstrably easier to pass, QED.SaBBz said:I wonder if people who say this would pass the test nowadays.

Milage not age will define a more experienced driver.Vertigo1 said:If you're trying to infer that people here who passed the "old style" test 10-20 years ago would be incapable of passing the modern one then you're living in a dream world. Most people who took the old style test will be far better drivers than those who've taken the modern one simply by virtue of having been driving for so much longer![]()
