I fell in a lake..

Two words for you, Emergency care.

Orange provide a system whereby you can get a replacement, you pay a fee and take insurance for the future, and the replacement will be delivered normally within 24 hours.

Standard charge is £30 plus insurance at £6 a month, some phones have a higher charge (£100) so the exact cost will depend on the phone concerned.

Do you have access to really pure or filtered water?

Try leaving the phone a bowl of that for 30 mins, then let it dry out fully. Take it completely to pieces.

If it works for black box flight recorders, it may work for your phone...

Wow, put my phone in the airing cupboard and took it out later on, screen was broke (fuzz) but I could see that the menu was still working. So I put it back in the cupbThanks for the repies guys and gals, made me laugh.

You're meant to leave it in for as long as long as possible. Had you left it in for another day you may have found your screen working perfectly. Turning it on before it's dried out is likely damage it further.

You really should listen to the distilled water suggestions. That lake water could leave all sorts of deposits in there that could conduct electricity and short circuits.
