I "has" got me an Audi :)

Unless they have any degree of interest in cars and driving, most people couldn't tell you the cylinder capacity of their car engine if you quizzed them on it. The same folk will look at you in a puzzled manner if you ask them if it's an in line 4 under the bonnet. :p

However if I had been hunting for the right car for @15 months I'd be inclined to think I had an idea what the power output was.

Unless I belonged in the same category as the above. :D

162kw 4 cylinder petrol engine!

217bhp according to manual so 220 was correct like i first

The chickens can all come home To roost now!

Gahahaha, how can you buy a car without even knowing what power it has ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Did you even look at what you were buying?

That IMO is inexcusable..

He was right to start off with and then people started putting doubt into his mind about the exact output of his car?

From wiki:

In 2005 only available as DTM Edition. From summer 2006 on available for all saloon and Avant.

Power figures are often quoted in kw.

I know, I was doubting the conversion from engine to lightbulb, but I guess it's all electricity at the end of the day.

Pretty impressive when converted to "number of 60 watt lightbulbs".

The doubt was already there it seems. Not having a dig at the op but it's still the case that he didn't know the power output, which is fairly impressive given 15 months of looking. Though I suppose it depends what he actually did in those 15 months.

Were it not for the length of searching I'd have typed something about far more Audi drivers not knowing their engine's capacity than knowing.

It seems the 220bhp variant of the engine was fitted to the DTM and the S-Line Special Edition. His car is an S-Line Special Edition and therefore has said engine.

Who can blame his doubt when people start posting things like:

Because you said it has 220BHP...

Only the DTM model had the 220PS (216BHP) version of the 2.0TFSI engine.

I guess it can be easy to spend so long looking for a Petrol engined Audi given they are probably vastly outnumbered by putrid oil burners.

powerful enough yes is it a s line special edition fox sure
Of that

I was thinking m3 at some point but that is too much power in my opinion

There is very limited
Numbers of these cars availble for sale but if you type in bmw 330
There is many a choice
