Lost her last night aged 2 years 2 months, after many operations, respitory illnesses and evenings of being hand fed she finally slipped away with a brain tumor :(

Anyone who keeps pet rats will know does are tumor and sneeze machines, and in the end it comes up to bite you when you aren't looking.

byebye my lil sophie (April 2004 - June 2006)

I lost my 5yr old cat, a brown burmese girl 3 weeks ago. I'd had her and her brother from kittens, she was the most loving gentle and beautiful cat. Originally they were both house cats, as I never had the guts to let them out much. I moved in with my fiancee 6 months ago, and just recently let them out, but got them in at night. They never roamed far and were always in and out.

She went missing for 5 days, we posted notes through all the neighbours doors, even put posters up on fences and lampposts. Got a phone call after the 5 days, a woman had found her and called me. Seems she had been hit by a car and died :(. I miss her so much.

We've buried her in the garden, and to remember her, put a nice birdbath on her grave. I've never cried so much in my life, got tears running down my face as I write this. You dont realise how much they are a part of your life until you loose them. :( :( :(

one of our cats is like 16 years old, had him since i was 6. i know his days must be numbered, gonna be a sad day when he goes... :(

:( poor sophie she was the damn coolest rat I ever heard about! Atleast shes not in pain now!
Hope all the other rats are ok!

RIP Sophie Rat

Sure it's been posted before, but you know, it's a nice thought - I hope it's true :)

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

RIP, all lost pets :(

So sorry to hear that. :(

Brain tumours and strokes are the worst ways for rats to die, its horrible and i feel for you as 4 of my rats died like that. :(
