Wow, that's a massive change over those 5 years. Those first two years must have been painful though. It's probably my postcode and the fact that I don't have a NCB, but my quotes for 'modern' motors usually hover around the £500 mark. I did get a big drop on my Anglia when I turned 25 though, which went from around £400 to £150.EDIT: Just dug out all my insurance certificates:
(2008) 17, 0NCB, Mk5 Golf TDi - £1900 (inc 20% Pass plus discount) - Direct Line
(2009) 18, 1NCB, Mk5 Golf TDi - £998 (new postcode) - Bell
(2010) 19, 2NCB, Mk5 Golf TDi - £654 - Admiral
(2011) 20, 3NCB, Mk5 Golf TDi - £536 for 10 months - Bell
(2012) 21, 4NCB, Mk5 Golf TDi - £503 for 12 months - Bell

I'm onto year 5 of insurance now, first two years with the same provider (Endsleigh, renewal was cheapest... £1600 down to £700), next two years with another provider (Admiral) and this year with SwiftCover (on a different car, Admiral wanted £650ish, SC are £330). Each year I looked at the websites and went for the cheapest.Am I the only person who has never had a cheaper price through a comparison website?
