My current chair (Roma iirc) is getting quite scruffy looking so I could do with a new one, budget of about £80-120 if possible.

Would prefer something that looks half decent as well as being comfortable, in black if possible. I've had a look but can't find much that I like for less than the cost of an arm and a leg :p

Something similar to the Vitra Headline but doesn't cost £2,000 would be great:

Thanks :)

I was actually considering that one before buying this, seems just as beneficial to use and sturdy. The company has nice support too from what i've experienced.

Sorry D: Thought the rules on competitors had changed so that you could link to them provided that you wernt linking to them for items that ocuk sold but FAQ says no so >.>

I have this. It's comfortable and has lasted me ages. In fact, it's my second - the first lasted about 4 years before the leather wore through.

P.S. Jacob, you should remove that link. :)

Something like

or

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Steelcase-Ple...plies_Office_Furniture_ET?hash=item3a572a6bfe

Those two are slightly above budget, but well worth the extra money.

Just keep a eye out on ebay for makes like

Orangebox , stealcase, humanscale, boss etc

You can get some absolute bargains.

Much better than the garbage you get in ikea, argos staples etc

Didn't you have a cream leather chair Raikiri? i remember looking into getting one as it looked smart but ended up getting a black leather one that was on special offer.

I agree that one from a company such as Steelcase, Hermon Miller etc. would be better however the cheaper ones are horrendously ugly, which isn't ideal when it's going to be taking up a fair portion of my room.

This is my current chair, it's fine other than looking a little rough. Would really like to get one similar to what I posted in the OP (decorating my room).

See above, had it ages now though and the edges are all frayed. It's also turned quite blue from my jeans and won't come out :p

go to Ikea, sit in a few.

then buy the "Markus" (£109) and feel happy knowing you have the best chair on the planet.

i'm deadly serious. i sat in my markus for NINE hours straight today doing coursework and my bum and back feel fine.

I just got a Markus myself from Ikea, Its awesome.. Having been though some cheap and well down right rubbish chairs.. The Markus is well worth spending a few ££..
