I have 1300 pounds

Yea you can say its hot I was there last summer and its belting hot. The choice is yours on the graphics cards, im sure that whichever route you go down you will have very good performance in all games!! People will say ATi others will recommend Nvidia its all down to personal preference, I personally like Nvidia cards hence my set up. If you go for an overclocked i7 setup from oc go for the GTX 275's and overclock the cards to ( its very simple ) and you will have a great machine at todays standards. Ive just started getting into building pc's. My old computer was a socket 939 and I moved to intel quad core and saw massive improvement. Im tempted to go i7 myself with the overclocked deals oc are doing at the moment but I have to save my pennies first. Building systems is expensive but all good fun and to be honest you learn all the time, I certainly have.

I don't get why you're so intent on getting an i7? As previously mentioned, an AMD setup would be more cost effective. I would have gone AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE, with a pair of 4890's crossfired. That setup would be wicked sick.

I know you say you have £1270, but realistically, if a cheaper setup will put out the same performance, you might as well go for the better deal, put the leftover cash to better use. As regularly stated across the forums, the most expensive isn't necessarily better.

i can spend up to 1270 and i intend to get the best out of my 1270.

i already have anything else that i would need.

also which 1 is better?

-gtx 295
-2xgtx 275
-2x4890

Don't take the GTX 295. The 2x GTX 275 beats it. And as for Nvidia or ATi, it's all personnel preference. I would take the Nvidia's if it was me.

wow thats good

id like something with about atleast 3 yrs of warranty anyway so that looks good but not sure between ATI or Nvidia

ATI seems much faster but many people suggest nvidia i dont know what to do :S

It's personal preference really. Theres not a huge amount in it, ATI usually delivers slightly more performance for the cash you are laying down. Nvidia cards are about the same performance, but you may end up paying more for it.

2 x 4890s would be crazy fast. As would 2 x 275s. You could get a pair of Powercolor 4890s for 130 a piece, so £260 overall. As opposed to a pair of 275s at 150 a piece, so £300. You wouldn't see any performance gain for that extra £40.

well the thing is i cant find how many years the warranty for the powercolor 4890 which is 130 pounds. the next cheapest one which is powercolor again is 145 and is only a 1 year warranty. the ones with actually 2 years or 3 years warranty comes to same price as the BFG gtx 275.

also ANY 4890 and ANY gtx 275 card would do right? i mean there are gtx 275 cards that are more pricey than the bfg one. and there are more pricey 4890's than the powercolor (130 pound version). what is the main difference between the cards that causes them to be more expensive/cheaper.

The main differences are that some have overclocks, better cooling, better build quality, longer warranty's and sometimes a free game. But just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better. You have to look at the specs for each.

the specs show a little improvement but i was tempted more when i saw the asus 4890 that had fans. does the fans on that actually show a good improvement on the cooling?

as i stated before cooling is very very very important for me since i live in a hot country. even though im not going to be using it in the summer.

Ask somebody from OCers or give them a call. It's not that important really, you'd probably want to put a new fan or something on it sooner or later and that would void whatever warranty there is. You only need the warranty if it breaks, and i've not heard of a 4890 spontaniously breaking yet.
