I have a QuickTimeMovie file...plays on Macs but not on PC?...HELP. asap.

Hey all, yesterday was my last day at uni for 3 weeks, i filmed some footage for my end of year show. I used Imovie to import the HD video footage and exported the video files in full format. And the files are roughly 3gig each. They play fine in quick time and VLC on the macs.

Yet today iv put them onto my PC to find that they dont work in quick time...just a Black image...and VLC just dosent have a clue..Any help would be Super.

What format are they? .mov? Is QT on the PC fully up to date?

Perhaps export them as .avi's or .mpgs?

Mite as well close this thread as it seems because i exported the files using Imovie....the MOV "quicktime" files have some sort of protection on em, so can only be used on macs....so looks like i will be getting a train back to uni nxt week then :/

Will have to convert them on the macs...which tbh i should have done now that im thinking about it.
