About being given a present 
To be specific, a Monitor (of course), and this is the monitor in question.

I really like the look of this. All I do is watch browse the web, watch movies, and play games every so often. And multi-tasking. Quite a few windows open and so on. Considering I'll be upgrading my graphics card to something much newer in a while, is this a good choice?
1680x1050 is good right?
I hear everyone talking about 1920x1080 (Full HD?) resolutions, but I don't see a huge advantage. I'm not a big enthusiast or anything.
