I had probably about 30 lessons like 4 years ago in a Yaris, but stopped when i went back to uni. I never had an urge to get a car or even wanted to drive, i took the lessons because driving is a useful skill and i should get it done. For some reason, ever since yesterday after my driving lesson (in a New Mini, 1st one since 4 years ago), I have this urge to want to drive more and wanting to get a car, i never had to desire before.

Is this something you lot get and is that why you always want a better car? Even with my limited experience i can tell the Mini is nicer to drive than the Yaris.

Mwhahahaha, you'll be posting a spec me a car thread before you know it.

Then you'll buy a mondeo/330ci.

On topic, yes. Especially after a car purchase, you'll want to drive everywhere.

I hate driving, the wind in my hair the frequent application of hair care products the fun of a Twisty back road.

The Mondeo, 330Ci/d, E39 5 series and MX5 are the only cars that exist.

Driving seems to be most fun when you can just do it without worrying about things. A nicer car is almost always more relaxing to drive because you don't have to work as hard to get it to do what you want.

My car is so much more fun to drive than my instructor's diesel Clio was, and it's not just because of the extra performance, although that helps :). The Clio would often pull you out of the driving experience by making strange clunking noises when releasing the brakes and junctions, or by sounding like a tractor when doing hill-starts, or just by generally feeling cheap. My car seems to take my bad driving and smooth it out, making me look less like a novice. It's also a far more comfortable cabin, all of which means that driving it is actually fairly relaxing and thus more enjoyable.

I'm already wondering what I might upgrade to in a couple of years. :D

getting a new car/own car is great. despite the trolling/hating of my civic when i made a thread on it i can honestly say i love driving it, especially compared to my 106xt.

its time like now, when its sat on the drive waiting for an MOT (on monday) which gets you down tho

HOw old are you? You can afford a car like that. At 17 i cant even afford 1/4 of the price of that :p

I'm 24 and I have passed my driving test, so I can drive alone... and that's what I'm going to do for a couple of hours when I get out of work :D
