I hope he rots in jail

This is the sort of case that reinforces my conclusion that we need to bring back capital punishment. However, at 17, this scumbag would escape even that justice.

Ms Bowden had said she had phoned the police every day for five weeks following the first attack, but police had never taken a statement.

Nine police officers are now facing a misconduct inquiry after claims they did not carry out a detailed enough investigation into the earlier incident.

Some serious questions need to be asked about this. What the hell were they doing?

Crime and punishment in the US is a matter for them. I am concerned about what is happening in the UK, we have different issues that need to be addressed.

He's 18, and therefore an adult. So there will be none of this "child offenders institute" crap.

He'll get a long sentence, it's whether or not they decided to bail him out after 5 years that is the issue.

You are right, I mixed up the ages. In that case, the ****** should swing at the earliest opportunity.

Got to agree with you for once, capital punishment wouldn't be the right solution for stuff like this.

They are not. The drop in crime is only because people don't bother reporting anything nowadays I reckon. What is the point, nothing is done until something like this happens and it is all too late.

Being 18 he will probably be out in time to celebrate his 25th birthday. It is disgusting really.

Its disgusting. If anything possesing a gun he'l get done for. He must have realised there are bullets inside. What a lame excuse. Seriousley shows how crime in this country is getting increasingley worse, a lot of it being commited by youths. Crime becomes more and more serious every day because the criminals know they can get off with very little. A decent justice system like in the US is needed.

Got to agree with this. Something has to be done and it seems only an exteme solution is going to work.
