Hi,

I need a new computer for making games.
I have a budget of around £1500.

What would be the best PC I could buy with my budget please?
Something along these lines maybe?
- i7/i9 Intel processor
- Nvidia GeForce RTX Graphics
- 32GB of RAM would be nice
- 1TB SSD + HDD
- Win 10 Pro

EDIT: I ended up creating this PC

Any suggestions for getting a lower price?

Thanks!

Kind Regards,
John

Hello
Do you think that you would be capable of building a PC yourself? There are plenty of videos on youtube that would be able to guide you & you may be able to save a little bit of money.
That pre-built is £600 over your budget, this is just over.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,516.57 (includes shipping: £14.70)

If you are going with a 9900K I would suggest a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus board. Also don't skimp on the cooling either. I would be looking at something like a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 which is currently on offer with a free Silent Wings 3 fan for £64.

Alternative case as the DR4 might not fit in the P400 and a 7200rpm HDD.

Ryzen isn't the answer for everything though. If the software being used prefers faster single core performance over lots of cores then a 3900X/3950X won't be beneficial.

Hi Grimley,

Thank you so much for your reply!
Unfortunately I have never build a PC by myself yet. :)
I think the best option would be to increase my budget.

I just want to be sure that I get it right with the parts that I choose.

Hi lee32uk,

Thank you very much for your suggestions!
I've updated the motherboard.

I've got a bigger budget approved! :D max is now £2500!
Here is my latest build:

I'm not sure about the Power Supply and the case (I like the look of the be quiet! Dark Base 700 midi-tower).
Any other suggestions please?

Thanks you so much!
Merry Christmas!

This PSU is only a fiver extra in your pre built configuration & is better than that Corsair TXM.

Case is a matter of personal choice, but reviews of that case are good for cooling so I dont think you will have a problem with overheating in 99% of enviroments.
