I need some help picking an LCD

This christmas im buying my dad and his gf an LCD, The max im willing to spend is £1200. Right now im looking at this

also i was wondering what the sound is like on these? At the moment they use the poxy speakers on their BUSH tv, which says something.... So these will deffenetly be ok for normal tv watching?
