think you did right, doesn't matter if it was a genuine call or not, you don't want to take the risk.

I've had this with First Direct, take a name/department and say you'll call back on the main switchboard line, I'm never giving any details out to anybody that calls me, that's just silly

If enough people respond this way, they might stop calling.

Since they're still calling, that means most ppl are idiots.
