Absolutely stunning. I've been to a fair few gigs, but nothing as amazing as the one on Friday. The sound quality, the lights, visuals, power... Just incredible. It's the first time I've seen them live and I definitely intend on seeing them again at some point. Couldn't get standing tickets, but then I think seated was probably better as we could just relax and take it all in.

I was hoping they would open with Stinkfist on Aenima, and my prayers were answered. Great start to the gig. Then they went on to Fourty-Six and Two and some of the heavier tracks on 10,000 Days before progressing to some of the more... psychedelic/ambient? (can't think of the word) tracks such as Wings for Marie etc. We were just sat in amazement. Worth every penny.

Did anyone else go?

My mate was there. Said he was at the bar when some guy tried to ask for a whisky and was then sick EVERYWHERE, projectile vomit style.

Haha, yummy!

nero120 - you are gonna love it! Keenan was amazing.

It's not enough. I need more. Nothing seems to satisfy. I don't want it. I just need it. To breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive! :D

\o/

Off to Notts to see them on Friday, saw them in Hammersmith earlier in the year where they were great, but was disappointed not to hear any Wings stuff from 10,00 Days so very excited by the prospect of seeing it this time. Now to persuade the boss to let me have friday off work.... :(

I'm seeing them in Nottingham on Friday....saw them at Download but wasn't their best venue, seen APC twice as well.

Mastodon are supporting and they've been excellent every time I've seen them.

Yeah Mastodon were on when I went on Friday. First time I'd seen or heard of them, they were quite good. Only caught the last 45 mins of them though.

It was pretty good, but I actually preferred them at download to be honest. Im a kind of on/off tool fan, I love it when they rock, but sometimes I get bored to tears during their longer more droney songs.

My highlight was The Pot, though their extended stinkfist version was awesome too.

I seen them at the SECC in Glasgow on the 25th. The show was awsome but was spoiled at bits as i had someone shouting the lyrics to Stinkfist in my ear. He then decided to do a god awfull impresionation of Schism. There was also someone that started moshin in 10,000Days

Seeing them at Notts on Friday. Hope it is better than the London shows a few months back as I was a bit disappointed by those tbh.

I saw them in Rotterdam back on the 9th, and, apart from the inherent sound issues that the venue brings, they were awesome.

My friend was taken ill, so they ushered us to the VIP area whereby we watched the rest of the concert...

It's a big enough drumkit for the job!

Nice pics, exactly the same setup as the Manchester gig (figures I suppose!). Those green lasers were amazing and when those Egyptian-esque faces lit up with the heavy parts towards the end it just added to the impact.

Maynard didn't seem to face the crowd much when I watched them - he tended to stand sideways or with his back to us, hunched or stomping like some sort of Neanderthal/ape man. Worked well.

Nice pics CBS. Shame the drumkit was obscuring your view of Maynard! Does that guy ever come forward?

As amazing as Maynard is, I'd rather see Danny Carey on the drums and by the looks of those photos it looks like he had a killer view. Never seen Tool live myself but its must be awesome watching Carey do his stuff, one of my all time favourite drummers!
