I think I've been brainwashed by apple

From someone who has owned 3 iPhones (currently the iPhone 4). Really doubt my next phone will be an Apple unless the iPhone 5 is something special.

Apple hasn't really innovated for some time. The retina display was good two years ago, but is easily surpassed by the S3. Notification bar, sat-nav etc were all just catching up with the lead set by Andrioid. The iPhone 4S brought nothing new to the table really and iOS is still as drab as ever and likely won't get an update in style for another year after iOS 6 comes out.

Also seriously! What is it with nearly every iphone 4/4s owner moving over to the GS 3 recently, is Samsung's marketing really that good now?!

Honestly you would think that they have now created a "Samsung religion"

2 Year contracts + 2 years after 4 launch as of about a month ago.

Did you buy a brand new 4S back again?

Probably sold it for less then purchased a S3 for full price, then lost money in the process as a lot of people do on here.

Depends what you see as a toy.

If by a superior quality build is classed a s a toy then i would agree.. Otherwise I wouldnt.

As for features, theres not really much in it. The screen size is a royal pain on the 4S as is the inability to truely get the most out of it unless you jailbreak it.

I still don't get why you have to be in one camp or the other so firmly. Anyone having such a polarised opinion on a phone and ecosystem seriously needs to get out more often!

I've done similar to the OP in that I've had every iPhone, switched away periodically to blackberry (9000, 9700), WP7 with a couple of Lumias, I've had the Galaxy S, Desire, S2, Sensation and I'm about to pick up a Razr this week and the desire to get hold of a One X or S3 is tempting me to spend a bucketload of pointless money.

I still gravitate back towards my 4S, I don't feel like its hugely superior I just find it very familiar. When I don't feel like thinking about how I use my phone it's the one I want to use but thats probably the effect of being in the ecosystem for 5 years.

There's no right or wrong, what is right however is that Apple have pushed this game so far forwards it's to everyone's benefit as the other manufacturers have to massively up their game to compete.

Look at the utter utter junk samsung etc were making 5 years ago. Anyone afflicted by a Tocco will know what I mean.

Just bravo to all of them, even the Lumias I had were streets ahead of pretty much everything a year ago which is amazing considering the low specs.

And I'll get an S3, I've no doubt of that.

Then I'll switch back to my iPhone 5 when I get it
