I'm not that fussed about it not being a Fender, it just looks horrid. I was thinking I could get something made up onto a piece of plastic and just screw it in over it. It would be ... different, that's for sure. :)
 
The thomann website says that VAT is included in the price and as you have not imported from outside the EU then you should not have to pay any import duty.
