i want to buy one blueray recorder

i am between these 3 models which is the best from these 2 ??

PIONEER BDR-209EBK BLU-RAY RECORDER
Pioneer BDR-S09XLT

ASUS BW-16D1HT/G 5.25'' SATA BLU-RAY RECORDER

what is the difference between these 3?

if i will buy the ASUS BW-16D1HT do you believe that it wil be bad choise?

I'm in the market for one and the Asus seems to be the one cropping up in recommendations. I'll be using it to back up some 'discs' and it's been said to accept 4K discs. Don't know about the others.

can't really say what's better specs have come on since i bought mine 4 years ago the pioneer you mention looks like it could be a older model it's out of stock at some places

BDR-S09XLT 2014 model, BDR-209EBK 2015 model speed specs look identical though id go for the newer one myself it seems to be available at more places.

I have Pioneer BDR-S09XLT, yes it is old model released in 2014, Pioneer BDR-209EBK released in 2015, ASUS BW-16D1HT released in 2014 after found old ASUS BW-16D1HT review in Aug 2014.

Pioneer BDR-211EBK is the new and latest 2018 model supported 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray playback.

I am with Pioneer for over 15 years, all Pioneer DVD and Blu-ray hardware was very reliable and solid.

Been read lots of bad reviews on ASUS DVD and Blu-ray drives had lots of disc coasters.

I guess you could go for the Pioneer BDR-211EBK as it is future proof than old models.

Yes Pioneer BDR-211EBK is very good accorded to customers reviews but there was no BDR-211EBK, BDR-211UBK or BDR-211JBK reviews from tech sites or youtube reviews so there are 2 BDR-211JBK Japensese reviews on youtube can use English subtitles.

Yes ASUS ASUS BW-16D1HT not very good accorded to customers reviews suffered lots of disc coasters so don't waste your money on it.

Both BDR-S09XLT and BDR-209EBK spec are the same but both has different front panels.

BDR-211EBK is for Europe and UK market, BDR-211UBK is for US market and BDR-211JBK is for Japan market and all three drives has same spec and front panel but has different DVD/Blu-ray regions to view DVD/Blu-ray movies. BDR-211JBK was the first Ultra HD Blu-ray drive launched in Japan back in 2016, BDR-211UBK was launched in USA back in 2017 and BDR-211EBK was launched in UK and Europe in early 2018.

Yes BDR-2209 was very old launched in 2013 for US market DVD region 1 and Blu-ray region A.

BDR-211EBK are now available in UK much cheaper than BDR-211UBK imported from USA.

I bought both Pioneer BDR-209DBK , and ASUS BW-16D1HT where I had some compatibility issues with the speed of writing. I will immediately explain that with some blue ray disks like the x-layer where the e-shop has been all written 4x but some Pioneer's bills could also be written with 10x. and other bills only with 4x. Program where I am the Nero 2016. The time had a big difference. With Asus all the disks with 10x without problems the same disks in the same machine.Also very satisfied.Therefore I would recommend Asus without afterthough
