I want to watch Dredd in 2D

Watched it last night with the missus, went to see it at the Vue cinema and they were showing it in 3D.

Thought the 3D wasnt too bad, much better than some of the 3D movies ive seen. Although i wasnt too impressed with the silly slow mo scenes of the movie.

Decent movie though, not as good as the first Dredd movie with Sly Stallone in it but still pretty decent regardless.

I find after maybe 10 mins of watching a 3D film the novelty wears off and it just becomes like watching a normal 2D film with added depth. It's nothing to make or ruin a movie imo.

I just got back from watching the movie in 3D and found it really nice, the 3D effects was pretty good and wasn't an blur or anything.

I don't think it's as good as the first one through, where is my damn jet bikes? :o

I saw Avatar in 3D and thought it was good, but nothing else has been close. I see 3D as a gimmick and overall don't like the way it is almost forced upon us.

I genuinely laughed out loud at the comments that the new Dredd wasn't as good as the Stallone version. I watched it again 2 days after watching new Dredd and it was cringeworthy bad. The sets were fantastic, the Angel family and ABC warrior nice touches, the rest was awful, it has not aged well, wasn't that good in the first place to be honest.

Agreed, Stallone version is so bad it reminds me of some Joel Schumacher neon disaster, surprised Dredd didnt get out his Lawmaster credit card:rolleyes:

New one makes it look like ****, come to think of it, it makes most of the films this year look like ****.

I almost responded to those comments with a post like this:

"JESUS. I mean, not only is the Stallone's Judge Dredd film a bad film, but it's widely recognised as one of the worst films OF ALL TIME.

I mean CHRIST it's bad.

Set design is brilliant mind you."

But I didn't. I dunno why.

It's the 3D that has put me off seeing it tbh. Everyone has said it's good etc and worth the ticket price, But I can't get away with 3D. Wish it would sod off, But it seems it's here to stay. Hell even the Hobbit will be in 3D.
