Hello all i have been offered an ATI X850 for £30 i currently have an Nvidia fx5500 OC

Is the ATI better than my nvidia ?

i have it bf2 at high 1280x1024 no problems at all, same goes for hl2 and most other games

It's the same card I've got, and mine unlocked to 850XTPE speeds. Sadly, I didn't get the 16 pipes I was hoping for, but the overclock still works out fine.

The X850XT already has 16 pipes...

Unless the OP means he was offered an X850 Pro.

I sold my old X850XT a few weeks back on the Bay for about £130, so for £30, I'd say deffinately go for it! Plus its miles better than your 5500!

Its the PCI Express dual display one. But i will need a converter to use my monitor

No he plays poker and uses a huge apple monitor and the card cannot run it so he doent need it.
