For what its worth I like it, even if it is a vauxhall ;) , and to be honest if its what you wanted then its your 20K to do what the hell you like with. You could have bought something else but this is what you wanted so I'm pleased your happy with it, and don't listen to the "oh but you could have bought" people on here...

Aww, gonna give him a cuddle as well?

All the silver on the front makes it look a bit like one of those VW eco versions of a car. Dash buttons look a bit weird as well, actually do like the wheels and colour and I bet it's pretty fun to drive.

Interior looks nice compared with the other Vauxhall stuff. Not what I'd get for £20k (secondhand e92 335i anyone?) but could have done much worse.

Interesting to see what it's like to live with and how the values hold.

No its just nice to see somebody didn't take a blind bit of notice of your "it has to be a BMW with 5,000,000 miles on the clock" approach to car suggesting

Please can you link me to a single post where I recommend anyone on this forum ever buys a BMW with 5,000,000 miles on the clock?

What about this one where I specifically state that I wouldnt buy a BMW with 5,000,000 miles on the clock?

I rarely ever suggest BMW's, especially not cheaper high mileage examples.

Keep up the deluded, pathetic and misguided assumption though, its amusing.

New price range £32,290 - £34,525
1 year price range £16,879 - £19,099
3 year price range £10,539 - £11,930

With few month old fully spec'd ex demo cars going for £18k how could that car only lose £6k over the next 2 and half years. I recon they'll go even cheaper.

I dont think you can get a few month old spec'd demo for £18k. He is including his trade-in with the price.

8000 miles on the clock also seems like a lot for an ex demo. Maz, is that the sort of mileage you'd expect on a demonstrator that isnt just used as a general courtesy car?

That's assuming full RRP, so if you take the discounted price and run with that you can assume it'll have lost approximately 40-50% of it's value in year one, and around 65-70% by year three - assuming it does somewhere in the region of 40-60k in that time.

Ah I thought £18k was how much it cost then he traded in on top of that.

Still can't see a 3 year old one costing £12k, recon if they are any good they'll make a decent 2nd hand buy.

The oldest ones are a year old now and the cheapest second hand one on PH/AT is £20k. So I'm not sure where you're getting 40-50% in the first year?
