Part of me wonders if this is entirely honest reporting, all politicians say things to small groups to gain votes.

I'll reserve judgement for now, but It wouldn't surprise me if he said the same kind of thing to every minority group to get votes - but obviously that wouldn't be as sensationalist reporting now would it.

Not that I like Ken Livingstone, they need a 3rd player in the race.
 
It sounds like the sort of thing Ken or his slobbering comrade George Galloway would say. It's as if they think that none of the criticisms of Islam are justified.

It is Andrew Gilligan so there is definately biased reporting going on, but the gist of the article is pretty much accurate.

Will when I get home (at work), but even so - if he made the same kind of speech to every single group it's hardly a story.

The newspapers are hardly trusted sources - less so ones with a clear political agenda (Some left/some right)

I agree that this story isn't all that serious. Just a sleazy politician being sleazy. I do however find Ken Livingston to be an odious little creep and so would prefer not to see him as Mayor of London again.
