I wish I were dead

Very sad story. No surprise that sometimes all logic goes out of the window and people do crazy things.

I'm absolutely shocked buy this.

As a father i couldn't contemplate doing this even if my and my missus were about to split up.

Something seriously not right in that individuals head and should be locked up for manslaughter/attempted murder or whatever charge.

His misery should last - not be over, spineless git!

Especially when drugged up and boozed up.

Its sad, I am not going to say "hes this or that" on the pretence you can't enter someones head to fully understand the drivers involved.

All sad though.

Gutted by the thread title:(

Must not smile in a very sad thread. *giggles*

When I fiorst heard about this I couldnt believe it. What a terrible thing to happen to that 6 year old and his 2 year old daughter will probably be ashamed to call him her dad. How harsh will the greek authorities be on him? 20 years? 30 years?

Appearing on national television, Panayotis Spatharakis, Director of the Heraklion City General Hospital in Crete, said: "I feel that, once he recovers and understands what he has done, he should commit suicide."
 .

Crazy stuff, those poor kids!

I must admit that my initial reaction was similar to CBS, but, having thought about it for a while, I think that this guy must be mentally unballanced as no one in their right mind (even when drunk) would do such a thing; So maybe it's not quite as black and white as it seems at first glance.

Whatever the case, it very tragic/sad ...

No excuse, and if he is sane nothing can disclaim his acts short of finding that he was on a cocktail of experimental drugs

Dear god, that floating balloon flash advert on that page is incredibly annoying.

Aside from that, yeah, I wish he had died too, instead of using up hospital bed space. Why don't they just shut him in the room with the balcony and let him have another go?

Last year we had a guy drive his car into a dam with his 3 children in the car because his wife had split up with him awhile back.
They all drowned but the guy him self who swam to saftey :(

What about if he is indeed, and I'll use the scientifically approved terminology here, a strawberry short of a punnet?

What are we lookig for - an excuse, justification, outrage, disgust, condemnation?

I agree totally with your comments, but makes me think the number of times I've woken up and cant remember what the hell I did the night before thanks to alcohol - I'm not saying I would jump off a balcony with two kids but who knows what we get up to when we enter the booze zone!

just to stress again, the bloke is scum, but made me think 'what if' on the tube into work today.

I find it hard to beleive that anyone who is of sound mind would do something as terrible as this.. I hope for his sake that he is gone in the head because otherwise he must be a very sick individual.

I also beleive I read somewhere that he is getting done for murder + attempted murder and I understand that the Greeks are pretty hard on criminals too.. although I might be wrong.

Personally I agree with the sentiments of others. Hope he rots.
