It sucks that the world is divided and that there are immigration controls. I wish the world was open so people could move freely from one country to another with no questions asked.

I want to move to Australia, but they are so strict. I dream of countries being open, free and brining inthe UK rejects like myself.
 
The problem is all the dregs of the world would end up living down your street. No wonder you want to move. ;)

I had this discussion with a flatmate. I told him we'd end up with megacities with ghettos/favellas/shanty towns springing up everywhere around the edge of the rich western cities.
 
If the world was open, everyone would end up in the nice places, making them not so nice places.

Pretty much what's happening now then....
 
Immigrants need to be kicked OUT.

We need to get stricter, why the hell would ANY country just let randoms in?

Unless you have something to offer then I see no reason why it should be your choice to roll up and live wherever you want.
 
My boss is well proud of himself because he has a visa stating that he is free to remain in Australia indefinitely. He got it a while back before they tightened things up.

It wouldn't work having the world open. Unspoilt areas would become spoilt. Everybody would move to "nicer" places and leave a trail of crap behind them. I'd rather it were hard to travel so people who can afford it and be priveleged enough to travel can appreciate it more when they do see the world - well that's because I spend my life travelling probably, even if I didn't I have the means to go anywhere I want - and I like that not everyone can travel. Yup it's elitist but I don't care ;)

I see no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to live wherever I want, as long as i'm not going to be a burden on that country.
I agree completely that we need to be far more selective about who enters the country, but why does that equate to ALL immigrants being "kicked out"? Surely you don't see them "all" as being a bad thing?
 
I also disagree with CoupeMad. Not all immigrants are bad for society - if anything a lot of them help. But I do agree that people coming over to the UK the sponge of our system i.e. NHS and benefits etc.. is out of order.

I meant Illegals.

People that have gone through the proper channels are ok.

Just that theres so many Illegals in this country, it makes me sick.

Damn right its out of order.

So is trekking half way accross the world to live HERE, when they have passed through SO many countries. Political asylum seekers are meant to stop in the first safe country they get to.

aaaaanyway, Im hoping to emigrate myself to either Australia, or California, and im gonna go through the proper channels. Should be ok, as im qualified, and "professional" so we shall see if I get rejected, and a West Mongolian Prawn de-sheller gets the nod instead.

Asylum seekers get on planes. Why they choose to fly to this particular country, thats the question...
