Hey, i have a relatively simple dilema that needs answering if you could
I currently have a watercooled gaming system thats running great, but this system is now being used for work (video editing/graphics).
Hardware
i5 @ 3.5ghz (1156)
Gigabyte P55A UD4
4GB ram
5850
Corsair AX750
120GB SSD
RVO2 Case
Question 1 , with a budget of around 800-1200, what could i do to improve the video editing performance of the system. Buying sandybridge would be nice, but it would have to be air cooled and reliable (OCUK pre-oc bundle +warranty?), buying blocks for sandybridge, if i went down that route, would be a hassle right now. Allso, I will be adding a second screen to my setup but not eyefinity.
Not knowing if old i7(1366) or new i7(1155) would give a real advantage to my i5(with video editing/ecoding/etc) is whats troubleing me. Question 2 If i could try and get 4ghz out of my i5 aswell as adding 8gig of ram, would a 1366 or 1155 upgrade (£400+?) be worth it?
Thanks
Edit: Would any AMD system but able to help(Phenom II X6)?
