Hi,

Trying to boost performance for my Football Manager 2017 addiction, and as seen from below the game performance is limited mainly by CPU.

I have £50-70 to spend, so my choice is to buy an aftermarket cooler (thinking Noctua NH-D15s) and OC my 4670k to ~4.4ghz or to sell my i5-4670k for ~£150 and pick up an i7-4790 for ~£200-220 and use it at stock.

What would be the better choice?

Also, would the NH-D15s actually fit in my Antec P180 case?

I think you'd be better off with a cooler & overclocking, the cooler is likely going to last for your next cpu upgrade too.

I think your CPU overclocked will outperform the stock 4790k.

I was thinking along the same lines, just wanted the confirmation / reassurance I was making the correct decision. Thanks!
