..i cant remember....
So.... with the launch of the Intel I5 just around the corner, anybody know of any after market coolers that come with the I5 bracket??

Hi Folks, we have an i5 retainer in stock at OCUK right now. I think the guys are going to get it sku'd up for you later today or tomorrow.

Our retainer will be compatible with Domino ALC and Freezone Elite. Can't wait to see some OC'd #'s.

CoolIT Systems and OCUK, first to support you with liquid cooling for i5? You know it.

Actually - the EK Supreme II block has always been S1156 compatible as it just has a single slot between the inner (S775) and outer (S1366) which means that somewhere in the middle S1156 fits fine. In fact I'm running it now. I personally wouldn't use LCLC with an overclocked i5/i7 system simply due to the heat loading.

Yeah that's weird! I'm using an AC Freezer Pro Rev 2 here and it's perfectly good for the money. I'm running a small overclock on my new i5 and it's audible but not that bad. Cpu is 38-39 idle at 3ghz and 48-49 under load. I would prefer something a little heavier duty in due course.

Just decided to rebuild by water rig instead of getting a TRUE, is there much difference between the coolermaster hyper tx3 and the arctic cooler freezer 7? I'd rather not step up to the cost of the Zalman if its temporary.

I'd probably use it for 2-3 months while ironing out my loop properly rather than rushing it again.

Cheers.
