I realised how much I've overlooked getting a fan for my new build, been looking at some reviews but I can't tell what's good price : performance and fits i5.

I've been suggested 2 things so far:
Coolermaster Hyper TX3
Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 Rev 2

After seeing a comparison of coolers I've had a look at the Zalman CNPS9500 with bracket.

Now though I'm totally confused what I should/shouldn't get; so I come to yee, oh cooling board, for some friendly advice :D It needs to fit i5 (obviously), and it needs to fit in my case (NZXT Lexa S), if the company has a history of supporting coolers for new socket revisions, that's also a bonus. My budget allows ~£20 but if a significant boost in cooling power/drop in sound can be achieved for a little extra I'm willing to scrape the money together.

For that budget I think the Freezer 7 Pro is about the best your gonna get. The comparison you linked to is for a completely different socket to i5, which can have a suprising difference to cooling performance in some cases. You'd be better off find a comparison when theyre actually being used on i5 processors

Ah ok, I just assumed they would all be the same difference because heat is heat

I'll probably go for the Freezer 7 then, I can always upgrade in the future if I need to.

EDIT:
What about the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus, it's in the same price bracket and reviews look good for it... unfortunately I can't find a single review comparing the Freezer 7 with the Hyper 212, I can find different reviews from different places, but apples and oranges on systems means the results are useless to me.
