i7 920 is it worth upgrading to say the 950

I've had a 920 D0 at 4GHz 24/7 for a year and a half. No issues there, it's all just free performance should you choose to use it :)

Coming up to 17 months i7920 at 4.2GHz, no problems at all, as peeps have suggested just overclock it to a 950 3.2GHz, you should not have any problems at that speed in the long run.. :)

so what sort of settings do i need to reach that bear in mind its a co not a do processor? or shall i jump to the overclocking forum for this.

You want your important stuff set manually first of all such as vcore, pcie frequency, ram voltage, etc. Set those to stock and up the bclk by 20 giving you 153x21. So 3.2GHz roughly, basically a 950 at stock (inc turbo). I can't imagine why it would have any problems just at this frequency. If you manage this after testing it you probably won't want to stop at that ;) Just be mindful of your temps and cooling. If you're just on stock cooling I'd highly recommend you get a good cooler before attempting this.

If you need more information on this take a look at a few 920 overclocking guides or post on the overclocking section of these forums :)
